A Gate to the Sci-fi Universe

Science fiction (sci-fi) films have always been a popular genre amongst children and even middle-aged adults. The genre itself uses speculative, fictional, science-based depictions of phenomena that are not fully accepted by mainstream science. These depictions include extraterrestrial lifeforms, spacecraft, robots, cyborgs, interstellar travel, or other technologies.
The essential ingredients to a good science fiction film lie in the basic concept of the main idea which are the characters’ personalities, their destinies or faith, and where and when the film takes place. The plots of science fiction films are also as important as the basic concepts since most of the story will be drawn to plots as the film progresses.
Throughout the years filmmakers from every decade have tried to produce a good sci-fi film that suits the trend according to their eras. Most have succeeded, as others fail. This is due to the lack of elements the film possesses. Take, for example, Star Wars.
Star Wars have been dubbed as one of the best sci-fi film sagas of all time because of all its amazing and unexpected plots. The basic concept of Star Wars itself makes up a whole new universe with infinite possibilities which serves as a foundation for an imaginary world to open.
In my opinion the reason science fiction films are so popular is because of the impact those films on our imaginations. And since the best science fiction films are based on a new universe, it's only right to say that these science fiction films are tickets to an escape from our realities and our own fictional paradise.
