Keeping Hopes Alive After – Covid 19

Covid-19 attacked the whole world with more than 250 million cases and with more than 5 million deaths, life for many has stopped for a while and the world became a scary place to live.

It has been more than two years when we were asked to stay at home and protect ourselves from the virus. Going to malls has stopped, eating in the restaurants, watching movies, swimming,  going to church as a family and going to school has ended. Everyone was scared, I was very scared. So many have died mostly older people, even doctors and nurses too. Staying at home was the safest thing to do because there were lockdowns everywhere.

Hope never died and that Covid – 19 will just be conquered because vaccines were finally made. In the meantime,  studying from home changed the normal everyday going to school. Food panda, Grab deliveries and other online businesses  became popular. Life had to go on for all of us. People who had to work had to wear face masks, face shields, hand sanitizers and all preventions from Covid-19.

Now almost 2 years this January 2022, what lies ahead? Do we hang on to hope that Covid – 19 will be eradicated totally? No one knows, but life has to continue even after  this pandemic. Life will never be the same again. We cannot still hug anyone close to our hearts, our families and friends, the fear will always be there. We will go back to school and meet our teachers, classmates and friends. There is now hope that we can celebrate Christmas, birthdays and other celebrations that we used to do. Life will have to go back slowly to what it has always been before Covid -19, but this time, learned the lesson of life from what this pandemic has taught us.

While there is hope, life goes on.
