2021 Christmas Celebration Junior and Senior High Sekolah Harapan Bangsa

On Wednesday, 8 December 2021, Sekolah Harapan Bangsa conducted a Christmas Celebration. Due to the pandemic, the Christmas celebration this year is still conducted online, yet the Christmas spirit still roams joy. Moreover, the event had successfully reunited both Modernhill and Modernland students and teachers to celebrate together. Festivity spreads effortlessly when the event gets merrier. The noel service and celebration were celebrated together by all Catholics and Christians students and teachers. Not only the Catholics and the Christians, this event also hosted all students and teachers from other religions including Islam, Buddhist, and Hindu.

The Christmas celebration was special since it invited an outstanding speaker, Ms. Berthania Kristine from Central Java to deliver her sermon. We also watched ‘The Grinch’, a movie about a character who hated Christmas due to past trauma. Ironically, the grinch despises Yule when others joyously celebrate it. The school also utilized this merry event as a way to help others, and managed to raise a generous donation to be given to the Rawinala foundation. Surprisingly, This event was further spiced up by a special performance from the Rawinala foundation and furthermore, filled with plentiful entertainment from the students of Harapan Bangsa.
