“UPPORTING HUMAN DIGNITY

 The More Love, The More Care, The More Witness”

The above is the theme of the APP (Action Fasting for Development) of the Jakarta Archdiocese in 2022. This theme was conveyed to all Catholics of the Archdiocese of Jakarta, through the Pastor's Letter of the Archbishop of Jakarta Mgr. Ignasius Cardinal Suharyo, on Sunday, February 28, 2022.

Furthermore, the priests of the Archdiocese of Jakarta explained it again to the people who attended mass at every opportunity, including the Ash Wednesday mass, March 2, 2022.

Sekolah Harapan Bangsa , Primary School, Kota Modern Tangerang, annually holds Ash Wednesday Mass at School. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this year it was not  held directly at the school.

This time the activities were attended by students and teachers virtually via Youtube, Ash Wednesday Mass held by the Jakarta Cathedral Parish. The Mass was led by Father Maryono, SJ.

In his sermon, Romo explained the meaning of APP's theme, namely “Upholding Human Dignity; The more you love, the more you care, the more you feel.” Romo emphasized that by accepting Ash on the forehead/head, Catholics are expected to be more respectful of each other. He also hopes that people will reflect on and implement what is the message of APP in 2022; love others with all your heart, care for others who need help, and testify through words and actions.

Almost all the catholic students of Sekolah Harapan Bangsa, from grades 1 to grade 6, attended mass with great care and solemnity. This was thanks to the assistance of the teachers and their parents at home.

Hopefully, this Ash Wednesday, March 02 2022, will increase the faith, hope and love of all students and teachers of Sekolah Harapan Bangsa , Primary School, Kota Modern , Tangerang.
