Daily morning assembly is one of the best platforms to encourage cooperative learning, building community, listening and comprehension skills among preschool students. It is considered an integral part of the school’s schedule.
Last month, we had our monthly virtual English assembly event, and it started with a warm greeting to all students & teachers. Everyone waved hands and unmuted their microphones to send greetings to the entire SHB Preschool family. We all danced to a familiar action song called “HELLO” and “Tooty- ta” using fun kinesthetic movements.
Next, both students and teachers shared their favourite Nursery Rhymes and showed their creative costumes. The preschool children enjoyed singing some famous nursery rhymes, “Mary had a little lamb”, “Twinkle, twinkle little star”, “Hickory Dickory Dock”, and “Old Mcdonald had a farm” while following the steps from Ms. Lace. We also played a game called “Guess That Rhyme!” All the students were very enthusiastic and able to identify the different tunes. Well done, kids! See you again at our next English Assembly!
