Term 1 Report Card Distribution & The Honor Roll

The report card is a very important card that students wait after every quarterly exams. It reflects the hard work we did for the whole term which are written in numbers. The sleepless nights we spent for studying, making homework and projects are well represented in numbers. Our parents are as excited as we are during a term report card distribution day.

For term 1, the report card distribution took place on a Friday, September 30. It started as early as 7:30 in the morning, even if the invitation letter stated the start at 8:00 o’clock, my mother came so early few minutes after 7:00 o’clock. We were met by the principal, Ms. Silvana and were invited to be seated while she called my homeroom teacher.My mother and my homeroom teacher had  a short exchange of good stories, I bet about me, while I waited for my classmates to come. Every report card distribution is always a free day for all students but my friends and I choose to meet on those report card distribution days in school.

It is a day of knowing whose names land in the Honor Roll, the outstanding students in the academics. We get all excited on whose who will be there. The list is usually posted in the afternoon one day before the report card distribution.

I saw my name on the list and I was so happy because I am sure an incentive reward is waiting for me from my parents. Being in the Honor Roll list is a very good motivation for me to work harder and my friends as well. It creates a very healthy academic competition in our classroom.
