English Competitions

Being back at school and allowing us to work with the students face to face has given us the opportunity to restart our English competitions.

Throughout the year we will be holding interclass competitions for the four key components of learning English. These are the skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking.

For the month of September, we have started with the Listening competition. Each class from grades 1-6 provides us with three or four place getters and certificates have been awarded for our successful participants so far.

Reading Time with Ms Jenny and Ms Lace has been the stage for awarding these certificates and our students are thrilled to be recognised in front of their classmates. Congratulations!

One more competition will be held in this semester, and semester two will see us continue to find the overall English champions of this academic year.

Winning or losing is not the key to these competitions as we see all students striving to do their very best. We expect to see many different students rewarded for their good work throughout the year, and we applaud them for their learning, confidence and improvements.
