Monday, November 28, 2022 there was an unusual bustle at Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Primary. That morning the students and teachers went together to the school’s soccer field because they would have the second flag ceremony after the pandemic.
The students seemed enthusiastic in preparing for the flag ceremony. The students also equipped themselves with school caps and wearing the national red and white uniforms. The cool weather also made the students’ footsteps move quickly to the ceremony field. The teachers continued to assist, especially for grade 1 students who were also participating in the flag ceremony for the first time.
Acting as the Ceremony Supervisor was Mr. Sabinus Sahaka, M, Pd. In his speech, Mr. Sabinus emphasized the importance of respecting teachers which is currently starting to fade. Teachers are the light and guide for education. The students were also encouraged to prepare themselves for the Final Test Exam in order to get the best results.
Acting as Commander of the Ceremony was Emilyana Laura, class 5A student, Dean, class 5A Constitution Reader, Kent 5A Prayer Reader, Jason 5A Students Pledge Reader and Prayer by Aimar also from class 5A. The Flag Raising Officers were Divinichi, Kayla, Raizel Class 5A students. They practiced hard for the two weeks under the guidance from Mr. Hadi, Ms. Restu, and Ms. Winda.
Meanwhile the choir from class 5 B was specially trained by Mr. Cerio. The ceremonial officers were very loud and smooth in carrying out their first duty. They looked ready and compact.
