SCIENCE AND BUSINESS FAIR @ SHB CAMBRIDGE

On 15 December, we had The Science and Business Fairs in our school. Finally, after 3 years of pandemic, SHB Cambridge held The Science and Business Fair again. It was opened with a prayer by Ms. Ika the followed by an informative speech from Ms. Silvana and the cutting of the ceremonial ribbon. Science fair is a type of scientific exposition at a particular place. It is good for the students to explore about science and business more. It was held around the foyer, there were 4 sections: Biology Section, Chemistry Section, Physics Section and Business Section.

We prepared our projects since a month ago, even though a lot should be prepared like a display board, model, and presentation but we still enjoyed the process. Our Chemistry Teacher, Ms Ana, will move around and ask some questions to take score for our Term 3. The judges were the parents and also some of the teachers, we presented in front of them, and they asked some questions about it. Between the presentations, we can buy boba, cookies, iced tea and jelly from CS4 and CS3 business students. After all of us had presented, we had a housing game, and we played quiz bowl. The questions are related to Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Business and Economics and Mathematics. It was very fun, and the winner of the games was Blue Dolphins team.

At the end of the events, the teacher announced the winner of our Science and Business Fair. 3rd place went to the CS4 boys, they extracted DNA, 2nd place went to JC2 students, they made edible coating for mangoes and 1st place went to JC1 students and they made thermoelectric water cooler! They got trophy and certificates. For Business, 2nd place went to CS4 and 1st place went to CS3! The project that I like the most is the RFI doors. If we scan the correct card, the door will automatically open! If it's a wrong card the alarm will ring. For me, It is safer at home to use that kind of door! Before we went home we had lunch together that was provided by the school. That was full of fun, I can't wait for another science and business fair next year!
