Jose Atmojo Mangudut Aritonang by Jose G.11
After all senior high students were done with their midterms, we had an adventurous 3-day youth camp trip at Subang. All senior high students gathered at school at 7 AM and start our journey there with 2 buses that carried around 70 people, which includes teachers and students. After a long 6-hour bus ride, we arrived at Bukit Dewi Manggung, Subang. On the first day of our 3-day school camping trip, we arrived at the campsite and set up our tents in our respectable groups. After setting up our camp, we had some free time to explore the beautiful surroundings of the campsite. There was no internet, but the fresh air was invigorating, and we were happy to disconnect from our devices and enjoy the peacefulness of nature. After that, we started our activities such as learning how to play the Angklung and learned how to do a traditional Jaipong dance.
The second day of the camping trip was full of outdoor activities and team-building exercises. We participated in tracking, mud play, and making traditional toys, which were challenging but also a lot of fun. We also had group challenges and problem-solving activities that required us to work together and build trust. These activities allowed us to bond with our teammates and develop new skills that we can use in our daily lives. We then perform the traditional Jaipong dance and a group Angklung performance that we learned and prepared on the previous day. And to end the day, we reflected on our experience, shared our favorite memories, and talked about what we learned during our time in the outdoors.
On the last day of our school camping trip, we packed up and went back home to school. As we made our way back home, we felt a sense of accomplishment and pride for all that we had achieved during the camping trip. We also made plans to continue exploring the outdoors together.
