YEAR END PERFORMANCE “A YEAR OF WONDER”

On Thursday, June 13 2024, Harapan Bangsa Primary School held its annual activity, namely Year End Performance. Year End Performance itself is a place to show the talents that exist in students, from grade 1 to grade 6. Usually it is added to by CCA, but this year was different as all of the events were filled with student performances along with special appearances from teacher representatives.

The morning started with Grade 1 which presented a Chinese performance by singing the song “Dizigui” led by Ls. Novi and attended by all students in 1A, 1B, and 1C. Furthermore, Grade 2 also showed their talent by singing the song “Tanjung Katong” with a water gallons as their musical instruments ! All of the students in  2A, 2B, 2C were very enthusiastic about giving their best performance.

After Grade 2, Grade 3 also did not want to be outdone in showing their talents. The students of 3A, 3B, 3C sang a song from Coldplay entitled “Something Just Like This” accompanied by flashlights from electric fans that they received from school. Because of the extraordinary enthusiasm, the MC asked all students, teachers and parents to sing this song together.

Then, Grade 4 added a different color to their year end performance. Five representative children from showed their modern dance talents with the song from New Jeans “Supershy”. All of the participants and audience members were very enthusiastic and amazed by the performance of Ayodhya (4B), Tiffany (4B), Aileen (4B), Izy (4B) and Evelyn (4C).

Grade 5 also did not want to be outdone in showing their abilities by showing their talent in playing the piano with the song title “This Old Man”. All participants who were familiar with this children's song sang together.

The day closed with the performance of Grade 6 students as their final performance at elementary school level. They played the pianica musical instrument with the song titled “Ondel-ondel”. Because all the event participants also sang this song, the MCs invited Grade 6 to perform the ondel-ondel song again while inviting all event participants to dance and sing together.

This Year End Performance also featured special performances from Cecilia (2C) and Kelyn (3A) with the song “Ru Yuan” and Aquenaa (4B) with the song “A Million Dreams”.

Not wanting to be outdone by the greatness of the SHB students, Ms Emy also invited the teachers to flashdance together with the song “What a Feeling”. All activity participants were very impressed with the special appearance of the teacher representatives.

Today's activity closed with class photos, as well as distributing Chatime drinks to each child at dismissal time.
