The Commencement of the Class of 2024: The Journey was an Adventure

An atmosphere of emotion and joyous moments filled the graduation ceremony of Harapan Bangsa Modernhill Pondok Cabe Junior and Senior High School, held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. With the theme “The Journey was an Adventure,” this event marked the graduation of the 2023/2024 academic year students who embarked on a meaningful and unforgettable educational journey.

Taking place at the Harapan Bangsa School Facilities Building, this year's graduation ceremony felt special as it was attended by Mrs. Indra T. Honoris, Deputy Chairman of Harapan Bangsa School, and Mr. Bernard Rasli, Executive Board Member. The event was also graced by the entire academic community, parents/guardians, invited guests, and, of course, the enthusiastic graduates.

With a Balinese cultural concept, the graduation procession began with the Puspa Wresti Dance from Bali Province as a welcome dance. This was followed by the procession of the graduates accompanied by the strains of the song “Gaudeamus Igitur.” Happiness radiated from their faces as they walked to their assigned seats.

Motivation and inspiration were delivered by Mrs. Indra T. Honoris. She greeted the graduates with enthusiasm, “Welcome to the new chapter in your adventure!” Mrs. Indra T. Honoris then shared her life story, detailing the twists and turns she faced, encouraging the graduates to step forward, never give up, and continue to learn in the face of various obstacles. She also reminded the graduates to always uphold the good name of their alma mater and contribute to the advancement of the nation.

Mr. Agustinus Joko Purwanto and Mrs. Sisilia Juni Arianti, in their speeches, expressed their pride and emotion over the graduates' achievements. They advised the graduates to maintain their enthusiasm in pursuing their dreams and making positive contributions to the nation and state.

One of the most awaited moments was the announcement of the best and most accomplished graduates. A sense of pride and emotion enveloped the best graduates and their parents as their names were announced. Awards were given to students with the best grades in academics, English, and Mandarin.

The graduation ceremony was not only about celebrating achievements but also about paying tribute to the memories and relationships formed over the years at school. Students, teachers, and parents came together in unity, cherishing sweet memories and hoping for a bright future. Each farewell greeting created a deep impression, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of a new one.
