SHB Preschool Modernland Chinese New Year 2025

The 2025 Year of the Snake Spring Festival of Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Preschool, Modernland, took place successfully on February 7, 2025, in the SHB auditorium. The teachers carefully planned activities for all students to celebrate this occasion, and they all arrived wearing their cute cheongsam or Tang suits.

Kindergarten A and B students showcased their skills with wonderful performances from their extracurricular activity groups. Wu Shu students were the first to perform, followed by modern dancers, then the ballerinas. 

The second half of the event featured various class performances from all preschool levels. Our adorable Kiddy Club students sang “Xin Nian Yeah.” The Playgroup kids then danced enthusiastically to the song “Xin Nian Hao.” Next, our Kindergarten B-1 students had fun dancing “Da Tuan Yuan.” Our Kindergarten A-3 students moved as they sang “Wo Shuo Xin Nian Hao,” and Kindergarten A-1 cheerfully performed “Meng Bao Guo Da Nian.” Kindergarten A-2 then performed an energetic rendition of “Fu Qi Yao Lai Dao,” while Kindergarten B-2 took the stage and had a great time dancing “Cheng Yu Bai Nian.” 

Our Kindergarten A Modern dancers gracefully transitioned to the next part of the event, which was a highly anticipated moment, as our talented preschoolers will demonstrate their Chinese language and acting skills in a mini-drama titled “The Legends of the 12 Chinese Zodiacs.” Representatives from each level played the roles of villagers, emperors, Chinese zodiac animals, and other characters. Everyone worked hard to practice consistently, and it showed in their excellent acting performances at the event. For the curtain call, the entire cast returned to the stage and performed “She Quan She Mei” together.

The grand finale of the event was a lion and dragon dance performance. The children and their parents were free to distribute their hongbaos and take photographs. Before heading home, the kids were delighted to receive their souvenirs and snacks. This Spring Festival event not only made the students happy but also left them with many unforgettable memories.
