As a student, term three and term four are our busiest terms because there are a lot of upcoming exams. To do the test well, I studied harder than usual, starting by reviewing materials from grades seven and eight, as well as asking for extra classes and studying with my friends, asking for help on topics I didn’t understand and vice-versa. It was hard for me at the beginning because I didn’t have some of the subjects when I was in grades 7 and 8, but I tried to adjust and asked for help from my friends, and they were willing to help me.
As I adjusted to the busy schedule of terms three and four, I realised I needed to rely on my discipline to stay on track. I built a study routine that allowed me to focus on my weaknesses while managing all subjects effectively. Instead of depending too much on others, I started using online resources, textbooks, and past exam papers to strengthen my understanding.
Although catching up on subjects I hadn’t learned before was challenging, I took responsibility for filling those gaps. Researching independently and revisiting older materials helped me improve. Over time, I noticed real progress, and by staying consistent, I grew more confident and prepared to face the exams on my terms.
