In commemoration of Waisak Day, Buddhists celebrate this religious holiday annually. Harapan Bangsa School, as an institution that emphasizes faith and character formation, provides students with the opportunity to celebrate Waisak. The celebration is organized by Buddhist primary students in collaboration with students from kindergarten, junior high, and senior high levels.
During the event, students of other religions also participate in worship according to their own beliefs.
As Christians, we held a worship service in the Primary Modernland Hall together with Christian students and teachers to commemorate Easter, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. His resurrection signifies the great work of God’s salvation, overcoming death caused by human sin. Therefore, as Christians, we are called to be thankful and rejoice in the resurrection of Christ.
The service took place from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM, featuring a speaker, Kak Eklin, along with his puppet friend, Jody. The children were highly enthusiastic as the service included games and prizes for those who could answer questions from the speaker and the MC.
Faith Day was held with the hope that SHB Primary students would continue to grow in faith and character, becoming God-fearing children who contribute positively to society.
