Modernland Tangerang, 14–16 July 2025, excitement filled the air as students returned to Sekolah Harapan Bangsa , Primary School to start the new academic year of 2025/2026. After a long holiday, students were welcomed with a warm and engaging Orientation Day program designed to help them ease back into school life, meet new friends, and adapt to their new environment.
For Grade 3 and 4 students, the three-day orientation was a meaningful journey into their new academic chapter. On the first day, the students were introduced to their new homeroom teachers and classmates. Teachers shared about themselves and explained the classroom routines. The students also received important lessons on personal hygiene and how to maintain a healthy body—an essential foundation for a successful school year.
The second day brought a cultural touch, as students had a special session with the Mandarin teachers. They learned a short Mandarin prayer, practiced some basic Mandarin words, and discussed the books they would be using throughout the year. In addition, students were introduced to the concept of line marching and had fun practicing movement and coordination in the gymnasium—an activity that fostered both discipline and teamwork.
On the final day, the focus shifted to developing a love for reading and shaping strong personal values. The students spent time with Ms Nada and learned about library rules at school, how to discover new books and how to take care of them. Later, they engaged in character-building activities with Ms. Devy designed to promote kindness, responsibility, and respect.
This three-day orientation was more than just an introduction—it was a joyful bridge between the holidays and the beginning of a productive learning year. We hope that this time has helped students adjust smoothly and reignite their enthusiasm for learning. With refreshed spirits and open hearts, the students of Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Primary are now ready to embrace the real days of school ahead.
