Old and New Jakata

This was Prins Hendrik School, at least before it was changed to become SMA 1 Jakarta now. The school was built in 1889 and has been standing for a very long time up until today. The building structure of Prins Hendrik School back then was the same as it is now. You can see the pillar of the building still standing and sturdy. The roof also doesn’t change at all. Besides the building, the place where those trees stand is the same now. Even though some trees have been cut down or have died, they still don’t change where they are replanted. The trees, as well, are about the same as they are now. They don’t change the type of trees. Instead of planting bigger trees or bushes, they still plant the same type of trees. The windows are now very similar to the old ones. Only the type of glass is replaced, but it still looks the same. The entrance is also like the old one; there’s no change in the floor plan. However, the outdoor part differs slightly from the old one because SMA 1 Jakarta now has an extra gate and fences. The new building has a sidewalk outside; it’s different from the old one, which has no sidewalk. The color of the old building is also completely different from that of the building now. The building is now repainted.
