Sekolah Harapan Bangsa has recently held an open house in junior and senior high schools in Modernland. This event brought together students, parents, and teachers to celebrate learning and community spirit. Parents can explore hands-on activities with their children and gain valuable insight into the school’s academic programs. This event occurred on Saturday, September 20th, 2025, between 8 AM and 12 Noon. The open house has a lot of booths. Each booth has its own educational purpose and decorative theme. There are a total of 11 booths in the event. Those 11 booths include the kindergarten booth, primary booth, English booth, mathematics booth, Mandarin booth, biology booth, chemistry booth, physics booth, geography booth, art booth, and the economics booth. The kindergarten and primary booth contained a lot of small activities that many visitors enjoyed. Some books had the Indonesian, English, and Chinese languages. There was also Chinese calligraphy, where children could try to write stuff if they liked to. They set up Cambridge books for the English booth and games like Scrabble. They also played a crossword. People could view SHB’s English education from this booth very clearly. The mathematics booth also contained games like chess. They also showed some projects on top of their booth. Then we have the Mandarin booth. This booth had a lot of HSK books. The students there were writing Chinese calligraphy and writing a Chinese story. The open house contained a lot of science booths. The science booths have a very similar theme next to one another. All of them showed many interactive projects on their booths. They were very entertaining. They also provide some diagrams to understand the subject in their booth further. They laid out world maps, a globe, and multiple 3D projects for the geography booth, like a volcano, etc. The art booth was very interesting. It laid out many portraits made by several students for viewers to see. For the economics booth, they sold toast. The staff, teachers, and tour guides were all very welcoming and always helped the guests whenever they needed help.
