Anatasya Arief (Gr.7A)
Hi! My name is Tasya. Today, I would like to tell you about my favorite festival, which is Ramadhan. Ramadhan is one of the most special and meaningful festivals for Muslims around the world. It is a holy month when Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset, refraining from eating and drinking during the day.
I really like Ramadhan because it helps me become more disciplined and patient. Another reason is that fasting can also make me healthier since I eat less, which feels almost like going on a diet! My favorite part of the day is waiting for the time to break the fast, called iftar. Even though I often feel thirsty or hungry before that time, it feels rewarding once we can finally eat together with our family.
What makes Ramadhan even more special is that it is a time to do good deeds and get many rewards from God. Muslims believe that when we sincerely pray and ask for something during this month, our wishes will be granted. One of the most special nights in Ramadhan is called Lailatul Qadar. On that night, Muslims perform special prayers and ask for forgiveness and blessings from God. This prayer can be done at home or in the mosque, and it is believed to be a night full of mercy and miracles.
For me, Ramadhan is not only about fasting but also about learning to be grateful, patient, and kind to others. It brings peace to my heart and happiness to my family. That’s why Ramadhan will always be my favorite festival.
