Video games are widely popular today and have been for years. Many people play games for fun or to spend time with friends; however, there are both positive and negative impacts. I’m going to start off with the positive impacts; one of them is improved thinking skills. There are tons of games that require you to solve problems and make quick decisions.
Playing games could also help improve your reaction time. Some games require rapid responses, which can improve your reflexes and focus. I will now explain the negative impacts of playing games, particularly excessive gaming. One of which is health. It could give you bad headaches, eye strain, and even lack of sleep.
Another impact is on the school. When someone plays games for extended periods without interruption, they may spend less time studying and may even fail to complete their assignments. With little time studying, you could fail tests and even fail certain subjects.
Excessive gaming may also reduce time spent with family and friends in real life. This can lead to isolation and weaken your bond with your family.
