Orientation Days at Primary Modernland for Academic Year 2023-2024

On Monday,  July 17, 2023, Sekolah Harapan Bangsa , Primary units marked the fourth  day of the orientation days. The orientation program aimed to acclimatise students to the academic, social, and cultural aspects of their new academic journey at Primary School in Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Modernland.

They were so happy to be back to their ‘second home’, Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Primary. All students  and teachers gathered in the corridor of their classes to start the day with the pledge and prayer led by one of the students from grade 6 then  all grade 3  – 6 students went to gymnastics to open the orientation days by introducing the teachers. The new comers of SHB were led by Ms Emy as principal.

Our activities were carried out alternately from the first day to the third day at each level such as :

1. School and class rules

2. Library regulations

3. Introductions and games in English

4. Introductions and games in Chinese

5. Information about health

6. Learn to line up

7. Coloring

8. Introduction to computer lessons

            On the last day, our orientation was closed by performances from CCA to introduce their program to all students. Most of the students were enthusiastic and eager to try the demonstrations from CCA like Science Club, Gymnastics, Wushu, Taekwando, Comic Making and many others.

Some students have started to express their wishes to the homeroom about the CCA they want to participate in. Homeroom teachers also reminded them to discuss with their parents so that later parents can register.

               The orientation process went fabulously. Students were also excited when they had to be dynamic together with homeroom teachers and friends in a new class atmosphere. The hope is that in the future, parents, teachers and students can work together in the learning and teaching process both academically and non-academically to improve the achievements and character of each student.
