On Thursday, November 23 2023, a Character Building excursion was held which was attended by students from grades 5 and 6. This activity was held from 06.00 – 18.30 at Kinasih Resort Caringin Bogor. This activity, which lasted almost 1 day, was able to run well because it was assisted by the EO team from Lotus Tour & Travel led by Mrs. Maryati.
The children enthusiastically arrived at school at 06.00 in the morning. They were given ID cards as their identification during this activity. Each child received an ID card with their name, class and bus number that they would take.
There were three buses that took us to Kinasih Resort. Bus 1 with classes 5A&6A, bus 2 with 5B&6B, and bus 3 with 5C&6C. Each bus had 4 accompanying teachers, and 2 TL from the Lotus team.
During the trip, we were entertained by songs and enjoyed breakfast that the students brought and the Lotus team provided. The trip was very smooth and took approximately 2 hours.
After arriving at Kinasih Resort, we were all welcomed by the Lotus team and immediately provided debriefing while divided into groups to play games.
After being divided into groups, students played three game sessions. The first was a competition game. Each group had to show their enthusiasm and solidarity in the game. There were three types of games in this first session, namely back ball, back water and balloon relay.
After completing the first session, students, accompanying teachers and the Lotus team had lunch together and rested for a while. After lunch, students continued the second session by playing seven rotation games. There were blind boom, sliding ball, take out the ball, panic twin, block building, roulette and saving water. Each post was accompanied by the Lotus team who explained how to play and complete the missions of the game.
The students were very enthusiastic about winning the games together with their team. Even from the start of playing, there were students who started to get wet because of the wrong strategy in the game.
The end of the activity session closed with an amazing candle game played by all the children and a teacher representative, namely Mr Hadi. Mr Hadi held a lit candle while students tried to protect Mr Hadi and his candle so that it did not come into contact with water. The atmosphere was very noisy, tense and fun. Some children even deliberately asked to be thrown plastic filled with water. All the children were wet but their hearts felt very happy.
Before going home, the children were asked to change their clothes while eating meatballs. The event was closed by distributing prizes to the three main winners, group photos and going home prayers.
