Yogyakarta Edutrip

We went to Yogyakarta on January 16, 2024. I brought a lot of things to Jogja: T-shirts, trousers, shorts, pajamas, socks, slippers, shoes, and a raincoat.

I went to school on January 16 at 5 P.M and headed to the bus to put my suitcase on it. We went to the train station at 6 P.M and arrived there at 6:40 P.M. We waited for the train at the station. I walked around to find food or something. Skipping to 9:15 P.M, we boarded the train, and the train we used was Taksaka Exclusive Train. The train departed for Jogja at 9:40 P.M.

We arrived in Jogja at 4 AM and headed to the bus. I sat on bus 2. We went to a hotel called Hotel POP! and prepared for our first activity. Our initial activities included a heritage walk, playing gamelan, and learning a traditional dance. When we arrived at Kotagede or the Heritage Trail, we went to the gamelan and traditional dance places. My first experience was playing Gamelan. It was quite hard, but I managed. I could play that instrument, and we learned to play a Suwe Ora Jamu song. After that, we learned a traditional dance; I forgot the dance's name. After learning these things, from 12 to 1:30 PM, we went to Raos Resto Djogja, the same place as Chocolate Tugu. At 3 PM, we went to Grand Zuri Hotel, Malioboro, to check-in. It took a while to wait for check-in at the hotel because I was too tired. But when we arrived at the hotel, I got the room card. I went to my room and went down again to use the gym. At 6 PM, we walked to the Malioboro Grand Plaza. However, I accompanied my friend to go to the Rumah Hantu place. Rio and I waited for the others playing at the exit gate. We went to the hotel at 8 PM, and I slept at 10:45 PM.

At 6 AM, I woke up and took a shower. We went down to have breakfast. At 9 AM, we went to Desa Tembi and made a batik design and a scarecrow. We also learned how to plant rice. At 12 PM, we had lunch at the same place. After doing all of that, we went to a pottery place and made a clay art. At 6 PM, we had dinner at Resto Pondok Cabe. At 7:30 PM, we headed back to the hotel and had some free time.

We did the same thing at 7 AM and prepared to check out from the hotel. I packed my stuff. At 8:30 AM, we went to the Ulen Sentalu Museum. At 2 PM, we visited a Jogja T-Shirt shop and bought souvenirs for our family. We prepared to go to the train. At 9:30 PM, we headed back to Jakarta. We arrived at Gambir Station and headed back to school. At 5 AM, we arrived at school. The trip was exhausting but was memorable. I’m looking forward to the next school trip.
