A Journey of Learning, A Future of Possibilities

On Saturday, 13 June 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., the Auditorium of Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Modernland became the setting for a memorable Graduation Ceremony under the inspiring theme “A Journey of Learning, A Future of Possibilities.” The event celebrated not only the completion of an important academic chapter but also the beginning of countless opportunities awaiting our graduates as they embark on the next stage of their educational and personal journeys.

The ceremony commenced with a vibrant Welcome Dance Performance presented by our talented students, creating a joyful and festive atmosphere for graduates, parents, teachers, and distinguished guests. This was followed by the singing of Indonesia Raya, the SHB Anthem, and the Students' Pledge, reaffirming the school's commitment to patriotism, integrity, and lifelong learning. An opening prayer then invited everyone to reflect with gratitude for the blessings and achievements that had brought the graduates to this significant milestone.

The official proceedings began with an inspiring opening address by Mr. Luntungan Honoris, Chairman, accompanied by Mrs. Indra T. Honoris, Deputy Chairman. Their heartfelt message encouraged graduates to embrace the future with confidence, resilience, and compassion while remaining grounded in the values nurtured throughout their years at Sekolah Harapan Bangsa.

The audience was then welcomed by the principals of both schools. Mr. Diantoro, Principal of Junior High School, reflected on the students' remarkable growth throughout their middle school years and encouraged them to continue pursuing excellence in the next stage of their education. Mr. Christian Bachtiar, Principal of Senior High School, reminded graduates that learning extends far beyond the classroom and challenged them to become lifelong learners and leaders who contribute positively to society.

One of the ceremony's most anticipated moments was the Graduation Procession, where graduates from Junior High School, Senior High School, and Junior College 2 proudly entered the auditorium accompanied by their respective homeroom teachers. The procession symbolized not only the completion of their academic journey but also the guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support they had received from their teachers throughout the years.

The celebration continued with a heartfelt musical tribute by the graduates. They performed “Cai Cian” (Goodbye in Mandarin) as a farewell to their beloved school community, followed by the inspiring “A Million Dreams,” expressing their hopes and aspirations for the future. The emotional performance concluded with “Di Doa Ibuku,” during which each graduate presented a rose to their parents as a symbol of gratitude for their unconditional love, sacrifices, and prayers. It was a touching moment that reminded everyone that behind every student's success stands a family's unwavering support.

The ceremony also recognized students who demonstrated exceptional academic excellence through the Best Academic Achievement Awards. Their outstanding accomplishments reflected dedication, perseverance, and a passion for learning, inspiring fellow graduates to continue striving for excellence in every endeavor.

As the ceremony concluded, graduates, parents, teachers, and guests left the auditorium with hearts full of pride, gratitude, and hope. While one chapter has come to an end, another is just beginning.
