Harapan Bangsa School holding Mid-Autumn Festival activities in Modern Hill Middle School

On September 20, 2022, Harapan Bangsa School now held a Mid-Autumn Festival celebration in Modern Hill Middle School. This event consists of three competitions, namely Chinese singing competition, Mid-Autumn Festival poster competition and simulation moon cake making. The competition requirements are that students from each class are divided into three groups to participate in the above three competitions. Regarding the three competitions, the Chinese teachers of each class have given detailed explanations to the students in advance, and prepared basic materials for each class on the day of the event, such as paper and paint for posters, and clay for simulated moon cakes.

The event kicked off at 7:30 in the morning on the campus playground, first with the opening prayer, then with a speech by the principal, Ms. Melany, and then the Chinese singing competition began. The representative team of each class actively and seriously participated in the competition. Other students also cheered and cheered for the representative team of their own class. The atmosphere was very warm. At the end of the singing competition, the school dance team presented a wonderful fan dance for everyone.

At 8:40, the poster and mooncake competition started at the same time. The poster competition was held on the playground, and each class team carefully divided the work, some sprayed the background color, some cut paper, some painted, and it was well organized. The mooncake competition is held in their respective classes, because the competition requires that they cannot be made using molds, but can only be made by hand. Therefore, there was an interesting scene for many teams. The male students were in charge of beating the clay and making the cake embryos, and then the female students were in charge of carving the patterns and painting the colors. The game went on in a tense and orderly manner, and the game ended at 11:00. Each class has completed works. Among them are many beautiful posters and vivid moon cakes, making it difficult for the judges to choose.

At 11:10, all the students returned to the playground with their works, and the photography teacher took pictures of each team. Then everyone lined up to gather for the closing prayer. Suddenly, all the teachers appeared on the stage and presented their well-rehearsed Chinese song “Fairy Tale” to the students, which brought the atmosphere of the scene to a climax. Let this event have a perfect ending.
