Have you ever been interested in the lives of people living in Antarctica? Would you ever give up your normal suburban life to live there? The documentary movie “Encounters at the End of the World” gives us a glimpse of people living in Antarctica and how they spend their time there.
The documentary is about the lives of people living in Antarctica. It is directed by Werner Herzog, who got the chance to go to Antarctica to experience living there and film this documentary. While watching, you get to see many different people from different parts of the world express their motives for why they went to Antarctica. The documentary also shows the beautiful nature of Antarctica with its many landscapes and creatures.
While watching the documentary, there was one detail in it that captured me. It was about how the people there are living in a very comfortable environment inside a base. I’ve always thought that they would live in small tents or maybe in tiny houses, but never would I think of a large base. The people living there also seem very friendly and genuine with each other and toward the director of this documentary.
I would recommend this to high school students because this documentary shows a lot about Antarctica, which is mostly unknown to the students. It also shows the interesting lives people have there.
