The Pesantren Kilat Program organized by Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Modernhill is one of the character-building and spiritual development programs for students, particularly aimed at improving their understanding and practice of Islamic values. This activity was held on Thursday, March 5, 2026, and was carried out with great enthusiasm from the participants. The program was designed not only as a theoretical learning experience but also as a practical one, enabling students to both understand and apply Islamic teachings in their daily lives. The series of activities prepared for the event was expected to provide meaningful spiritual experiences while also strengthening togetherness within the school community.
The activity began at 12:50 PM with preparations for the first session, followed by the opening by the master of ceremonies in the school hall. After that, Muslim students participated in a calligraphy-making activity aimed at fostering creativity while introducing the beauty of Islamic art. The program continued with a religious talk (tausiah) about the proper procedures for ablution (wudhu) and prayer (shalat), providing a deeper understanding of the importance of maintaining purity and performing worship correctly. To reinforce this understanding, students also took part in practical sessions of ablution and prayer guided by instructors, allowing them to practice the correct methods of worship.
Entering the second session, all students from different religious backgrounds attended the activity. The session began again with an opening, followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, Surah Al-Baqarah verses 183–184, which relate to the obligation of fasting for Muslims. Afterwards, the Principal delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of shaping a young generation that is morally upright, knowledgeable, and capable of facing the challenges of the modern era. In this session, a religious talk with the theme “Modern Islamic Youth” was also delivered, encouraging students to become young Muslims with strong character, integrity, and a firm commitment to Islamic values in the modern world. The event became even more lively with a band performance by junior and senior high school students, adding to the vibrant atmosphere.
In addition to educational and entertainment activities, the Pesantren Kilat also included meaningful social activities, such as the screening of a profile video of the Muhammadiyah Sawangan Orphanage and a donation drive as a form of social care and empathy. The program continued with the screening of a motivational video, which was then discussed together by participants to extract positive values that could be applied in daily life. The event concluded with a group photo session, followed by a break and prayer time for Muslim students, and a communal iftar (breaking of the fast) that created a warm sense of togetherness among all participants. Finally, the program ended with students returning home in the evening.
Through this Pesantren Kilat program, it is hoped that students will strengthen their faith, deepen their religious understanding, enhance interfaith tolerance, and develop a sense of care and togetherness in social life.
