Fantastic Day!
On Friday, November 25, 2022, Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Primary , Modernland, Tangerang held its first activity after the pandemic.
The activity was called “Teachers Day Activity”. The situation at school has been so different since the morning. Many students brought chocolates, sweets, cakes and various special gifts to offer to their teachers. The teacher's room seemed boisterous by the presence of students who entered about to say “Happy Teachers Day”.
This special moment was marked by Teachers Day events, which were held both in the classroom and in the Gymnasium. Classrooms and classroom softboards have been decorated with Happy Teacher's Day greetings and writings made by the students. There were also photos of their beloved teachers pasted on the softboard, the atmosphere seemed festive and the smiles of the teachers were bright on that day.
The event started in classroom with the Role Play of the Little Teachers. Each class has chosen one student to act out the task as the Little Teacher. Each selected student has prepared themselves seriously, wearing nice shoes, suits, dressed up neatly in the style of a teacher. They were acting as drawing teachers, Mathematics teachers, Chinese teachers, Science teachers and others. They actually taught the class and after the event, one of the participants was asked, “What is your impression of being a teacher?” He replied, “It turns out that the task of being a teacher is not easy… but I'm happy and my dream is to become a teacher”
Okay, thanks!
The next activity was making greeting cards for the teachers, and each class made the most beautiful work guided by the Chinese teachers and the Homeroom Teachers.
The following activities were Extracurricular performances at Gymnasium. This activity was attended by parents and also Mrs. Indra as the Chairperson of Yayasan Harapan Bangsa Indonesia. Starting with a Modern Dance performance, the atmosphere is immediately festive and exciting. The next performances were from Science Extracurricular which demonstrated science rocket experiment, Tae Kwon Do kick board, Solo Singer by Aqueena 3A and trophy presentation for the Little Teachers. The program was hosted by Keiko and Rafifa, students of class 5C. Opening remarks in English are presented by Alexander from class 5C, and the closing prayer was led by Cheryl from 6B. All participants and leaders on the program were done by the students.
The event ended with the presentation of the students' work for the teachers. The students came on stage presenting their best work in the form of greeting cards and flowers as a form of gratitude for the merits and kindness of the teachers for educating them. They also played the song “Guruku Tersayang” and all the audience sang along.
Long live all teachers! Praise the teachers! Without you, we wouldn’t be able to read and write. Without you we are nothing.
