On the 13th of September, SHB Cambridge celebrated ‘Mid-Autumn Festival' or ‘Moon Cake Festival'. This is a harvest festival celebrated notably by Chinese and Vietnamese people. It is held on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar with a full moon at night.
The student council planned the whole day full of excitement for us to enjoy. We started the day by playing two games, musical chairs and pop the balloon. I enjoyed both of them, it makes me see the interaction between Cambridge students. We then had our recess, allowing us to enjoy the Moon Cake the school provided.
Then, we played more games to show our class coordination, the classrooms were all converted to stations filled with movies, games and even a café. The hall was even changed to a place for us to mold our moon cakes, it was quite hard, but it tested our creativity. There was a classroom for mind games, battle of the brains, and arts and craft. The arts and craft section also tested our creativity, allowing us to make good luck charms. The café was filled with delicious home-made food.
Before we went home, the class with most points were announced as winners. JC2 took the first place, JC1 the second and lastly, CS3 took the third place.
It was by-far the best Mid-Autumn Festival SHB Cambridge has held, we all had a wonderful time.
