Learning about studying abroad

On the 28th of August 2019, JC2, JC1, and CS4 were told to go to the multi-purpose room for a reason we didn’t know. Then, we came to realize that Aspectama, an international education counselor by SHB, had come to SHB Cambridge. Their leader, Mrs. Chen Tjhin, gave us a speech about studying abroad. This speech was meant to help us to have more knowledge about applying to colleges and universities abroad. These colleges and universities include America, UK, Australia, Canada, and many more. Moreover, they also told us about the estimation of how much money is needed to study in some countries so that we wouldn’t waste our parents’ money in the future.

Novella, an alumni from SHB Cambridge, also gave us a speech about studying in the university she is attending right now; Durham University in UK. She said that Aspectama had helped her to choose which university she should go to and which major she should take in that university. She also mentioned that the university teachers expect us to already read the chapters beforehand and us, the students from outside the country, to be talkative like asking the teachers a lot of questions.

Before the session with Aspectama ended, they also gave us a test. The test was to find out our personalities and match it with our interests. The test was quite long, but of course we all did it. After the test, some of us directly went back to the classrooms and some of us stayed to ask even more questions. They were really helpful.
