Topic: Personal Thoughts and Opinions
I personally think that public places should have a daycare system where parents who want to have some time alone could leave their children. I thought of this idea last week when I was watching the new Marvel movie that has just come out, Spider-Man: No Way Home, with my parents. There was a 10-year-old child in the seat behind me, crying, wailing, and screaming for his parents to take him out of the cinema because he was bored. I mean, I don’t blame him, since it looked like he didn’t understand what the movie was about nor was he interested in it. Some other points to add are that the movie is in English, a foreign language which he probably hasn’t mastered yet, and you need to watch three other Spider-Man movies in order to understand fully what the movie is about since there are a lot of references to the previous three.
While I’m not particularly fond of children and mostly avoid them as much as I can in my life, I honestly believe that this particular incident was mostly the parents’ fault. Their child was crying and screaming for their attention, and yet they didn’t do anything to comfort or quiet him. The ignorance of the parents not only caused discomfort to their child, but to the other viewers and themselves as well.
After this incident, I tried thinking of a solution that would benefit every party, and I finally came up with the suggestion of opening a daycare system in public places, e.g. malls, cinemas, hospitals, and so on. Parents could drop off their children at a daycare centre, enjoy their free time, while not inconveniencing other people. The daycare centre should work similarly to a kindergarten, where children could play with the teachers, other children, or with toys that are provided. This way, everyone can have their own happy time.
