Flag Ceremony at SHB Secondary Modernhill

Thursday, February 10, 2022, Harapan Bangsa Modernhill School held a routine flag ceremony for the umpteenth time virtually. The flag ceremony is an activity carried out to foster a sense of nationalism among students at SHB. At this ceremony, class 9B is in charge of carrying out the flag ceremony and Mr. Javan is the coach.

Independence is the theme that Mr. Javan conveys this time. According to him, independence is an attitude to be able to independently not rely on others. As for several aspects that he conveyed to increase independence, among others (source: Robert Havighurst); aspects of regulating emotions, regulating economic, intellectual, and social. These aspects are very necessary in building an independent attitude. He also conveyed the importance of being independent for students as an effort to prepare for their future.

The ceremonial activities that are routinely carried out every month are expected to foster the spirit of nationalism and the values ​​presented will also increase students' understanding that they are not only achieving academic scores.
