The Traffic Corps applies a one-way system during the homecoming period for Eid al-Fitr 2022.
One way system for Eid al-Fitr homecoming will be implemented at a number of toll road points. It will be implemented simultaneously with odd-even along the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road to Kalingkangkung.
Ater fasting for a full month of Ramadan, Muslims rejoice in celebrating Eid al-Fitr. Indonesians usually go for homecoming in order to reunite with their big family.
The moment of Eid Al-Fitr 1443 Hijri this year is special because it is celebrated in a situation of the Covid-19 pandemic which is now increasingly under control.
Following this good improvement, people are now finally allowed to go home, after being banned from homecoming for two years due to the corona virus.
In Indonesia, Eid al-Fitr has another name which is ‘Lebaran’. Meanwhile, Eid al-Adha, another big day for Muslims, has also another term which is Lebaran Haji or Lebaran Besar, according to the Indonesian Dictionary (KBBI). Because of its conciseness, Indonesians use the word ‘Lebaran’ more often than Eid.
