Every year, Muslims around the world observe the fast of Ramadan, which is followed by the celebration of Eid al-Fitr. At the moment of Eid al-Fitr, Muslims visit each other's family, relatives, neighbors, to close and distant relatives. The tradition of visiting relatives is known as Halalbihalal. Harapan Bangsa Modernhill School, Pondok Cabe, South Tangerang, conducted a Halalbihalal celebration on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, which was nearly attended by all teachers and students.
“Reliving the Values of Halalbihalal: Reinforcing Islam's Commitment to Humanity” was the theme of the Halalbihalal, which was attended by students from their homes. Students should be able to build tolerance values for religious traditions and expressions, be willing to ask for and forgive others, and exercise human values in everyday life while living in a variety of contexts with this theme.
Afterwards, Mrs. Theresia Listiyawati, the Principal of the Harapan Bangsa Modernhill Elementary School, delivered a speech to understand the meaning of Eid al-Fitr, which is Victory Day. There can be no success or victory without struggle or effort. As a student, one of the efforts to be successful is to study hard, not give up, and keep trying to be the best you can be. In addition, she communicated to love one another and always be kind to others so that peace and tranquility can be with us all.
Then, the activity continued with the Muslim Eid al-Fitr songs sung by the students. This song explains the meaning of Eid al-Fitr. Eid al-Fitr is not about new clothes, but a new day, the Victory Day after Muslims fast for a full month.
The heart of this Halalbihalal event is filled with sermons from Ummi Noor Zakiah on the virtues of friendship. The people of heaven, according to Ummi Kiki, have brilliant and pleasant features, eloquent voices, pure souls, and prayer hands. Apart from that, Silaturahmi's virtue is faith, which contributes to gaining age and riches while becoming closer to Allah SWT.
