Children Nationalism

Children really like the celebration of independence day, there are lots of competitions, bicycle parades, carnivals and usually ends with a party and stage entertainment and eating together. But,  do they  understand what Indonesian Independence Day is?

The spirit of children's nationalism must be nurtured, because the nationalist spirit is the main foundation for teachers and parents to educate children in loving the country and their nation. Children need to be explained about the meaning of independence. The spirit of nationalism can be built properly if children know the history of the nation and the struggle of the heroes for the independence of the Indonesian nation.

How to do it? here are some activities that we can do with children;

1. Invite the children to put up the flag in front of our House

2. Participate in competitions in schools and residential areas

3. Invite the children to watch the flag ceremony

4. Telling story about the history of Indonesian independence day

5. Sing national songs

6. Watching simple Independence movies

By introducing the meaning of independence and history to your little one from an early age, a sense of love for this country will naturally grow. Your little one will know how to fight for independence, so he will feel proud and continue to want to maintain the independence and prosperity of the nation.
