There are many advantages that technology has brought to the globe. However, the older generation has difficulty using technology. In my opinion, technology can make elderly people’s lives easier.
The advancement of technology has made life easier for the elderly. On their smartphones, they may read online news and place food orders. One example is during the Covid19 era when many businesses were shut down, technological improvements allowed elderly people to follow the pandemic status easily by looking at the news online. The elderly could also buy food online to ensure their safety. Since the pandemic has been eased, many people still utilize these applications to search for the best prices while being at home and also being sure of the quality of their goods. Additionally, keeping in touch with family requires a smartphone and the internet. Most elderly people place a great value on family relationships, and if they are more tech competent they could video call and communicate with their family via modern media platforms like Whatsapp and Facebook.
We also can encourage the elderly more by providing extra support for the new technology. And it is better for the elderly if someone could demonstrate how to use the technology, or we could create an application that specializes in helping the elderly to adapt to the new technology.
In conclusion, older people can live better lives if they take advantage of technological advances. Moreover, family members should try their best to assist the elderly in adapting to new technology.
