Spring Festival Celebration of Modernhill Secondary School

       On January 26, 2023, the Modernhill Middle School of SHB grandly held a Spring Festival celebration program in the hall of SHB5.

       At 9:00 am, after the opening prayers, the celebration started. Mr.Purnawan Sutiono, the assistant to the school management, sent New Year greetings to everyone. Afterward, Ms. Sisilia, the principal of the junior high school, also delivered a speech. What follows is the wonderful presentation presented by the students after careful rehearsal.

        The first line is a trilingual narration of “The Legend of the Nian Beast”. The three students on the stage told the “Legend of the Nian Beast” in Chinese, English, and Indonesian respectively, which is also the origin of the year.

        Next, the school dance team performed a wonderful traditional Chinese dance “Water Sleeve Dance”. The graceful dancing posture of the students on the stage aroused everyone's applause from time to time.

        The third program is for junior high school students to recite “Disciple Rules”. I saw more than 20 grade 7 students, dressed in Hanfu, recite the “Disciple Rules” for everyone on the stage. They enunciated clearly, their voices were full, and they recited fluently, which attracted constant applause from the audience.

         The fourth program is playing and singing Chinese songs. After rehearsing hard, the high school students presented two popular Chinese songs here.

         The fifth program is the stage play “Slaying the Dragon”. Many students performed on stage, which brought beauty to everyone.

         In the end, the lion dance team continued to perform, and everyone came forward to give red cards one after another, pushing the event to a climax.

         I would also like to thank the teachers and staff at the school for their great contributions to this event.

With the cheers and blessings of the students, the event came to a successful conclusion.
