Junior High Harapan Bangsa Modernhill Field Trip 2023

The field trip was held on March 6 – 8 2023 at Bukit Pinus Villa, Ciawi-Bogor. The students departed from school at 06.00 a.m. The group departed using three buses and one minibus. There were 112 students taking part in this activity with the exception of two students for having family matter. There were also 14 assistants involved from the school.

The students participated in various activities for three days. On the first day, the students practiced teamwork, one of which was playing volleyball with a very large ball. Through this activity students are trained to work together to throw the ball to the opposing team. Then there was jumping rope to practice group cohesiveness, including driving various types of plastic and large vehicles (in the form of animals).

On the second day, students went trekking around the villa, walking through rice fields, plantations, and villages. Students saw beautiful natural scenery and plantations planted with various kinds of plants. The evening was the culmination of the event in the form of the performances from each group, it was where students demonstrated skills in dramas, talk shows, fashion shows and many more.

Through this activity, students are expected to have experience in outdoor activities that develop necessary values such as responsibility, caring, self-confidence, empathy, discipline and love for the country. In addition, students are also expected to be able to practice writing journals in Indonesian.
