CB (Character Building) Fun Camp 2023

On November 2^nd and 3^rd, 2023, the grade 2 – 6 students of  Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Modernhill participated in the CB (Character Building) Fun Camp 2023 in Kampoeng Gowes, Sawangan. During the event, the students learned about scouting skills, such as teamwork, reading compass, recognizing the semaphore code, learning first aid treatment to an injury, drill commands, and learning the basic tying knots, and agility games.

The event started in the morning. The students rode the army trucks to the camping site. When they got there, all the students joined the opening ceremony. They were then divided into 2 groups, “Siaga” for grades 2 and 3, and “Penggalang” for grades 4 to 6. These two groups were divided into even smaller groups based on colored flags for Siaga and animal or  plant names. For Siaga, the teachers guided them when finding each activity post. Later on, each group of Siaga was given a map, which would guide them to each activity post. At the same time, Penggalang group joined a CB seminar held in the convention hall.In the afternoon, all the students ate their lunch. After lunch, Siaga groups were prepared and went back to school. Meanwhile, the Penggalang groups continued the activities and stayed over until the next day. Overall, throughout the event, the students showed great enthusiasm in every activity. We hope that with this event, the students will have an unforgettable experience, and they can also apply what they have learned during that day in their lives.
