On Thursday, September 26, 2024, the Preschool and Primary School of Harapan Bangsa Modernhill celebrated the Mooncake Festival with great joy. This celebration featured stunning performances by the second, fourth, and sixth-grade students. They showcased dance and song performances in Mandarin, held in the Facility Building of Sekolah Harapan Bangsa, reflecting the joy and spirit of togetherness among the entire Harapan Bangsa Modernhill community. After their performances, all students returned to their classrooms to prepare for the delightful festival treats, including delicious mooncakes, fresh oranges, orange candies, and milk, symbolizing blessings and togetherness.
The atmosphere of the Mooncake Festival celebration was further enlivened by decorations of Chang'e and Hou Yi, key figures in the Mid-Autumn Festival story. Besides serving as entertainment, this event aimed at introducing students to the values and traditional culture of China, fostering closer relationships among teachers, students, and parents.
