The Mooncake Festival, also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, is a traditional Chinese celebration held on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar. During this time, the moon appears exceptionally bright and full, symbolizing a moment for families to come together. It is a time when families gather in the evening to enjoy food, drink tea, converse, and, most importantly, admire the beautiful moonlight.
To honor this tradition, Harapan Bangsa School's junior high and senior high school students organized the “Mooncake Festival 2024.” The students were highly enthusiastic about the event, which aimed to foster closer relationships among students, teachers, and staff, preserve Chinese culture, and teach students the art of serving Chinese tea, a key element of the Mooncake Festival. They also eagerly participated in various presentations, including dances, wushu (martial arts), and Mandarin songs, all contributing to the preservation of cultural heritage.
