Chinese New Year Festival

On Tuesday 8 February 2022 Kindergarten Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Modernhill held a Chinese New Year festival. All the students wear red or yellow clothes. They are very enthusiastic to join the event. The aim of this activity is to introduce Chinese culture and also to instill mutual respect for other cultures.

The Chinese New Year Festival event opened with a prayer and continued by several activities such as student pledge in Mandarin, speech from the Deputy Chairman of Sekolah Harapan Bangsa and the Principal of Sekolah Harapan Bangsa. We sing together, watch the lion dance performance, and watch the story of the Chinese new year festival. We also gave some Chinese new year festival questions and showed greetings from students and teachers.

As a reflection, the activity ended with playing a world wall together. The activity was running well and the spirit of togetherness is felt, in accordance with the objectives of celebration of the chinese new year festival.
