Career Day at Secondary Modernhill

On Tuesday, 18 January 2022, Sekolah Harapan Bangsa held a career day event, which is an annual mandatory event for students in grade 10, 11 and 12, with the aim of introducing, informing and presenting everything about work and occupations. In this year’s career day event, each student was asked to make or correct a CV a week earlier and to make a video about their goal. The difference from last year’s event was that this year grade 10 students conducted interviews with HRD while students in grade 11 and 12 did a presentation to a company CEO regarding their skill/ideas/ability in doing a job.

            The event continued with sharing session with guest speakers from four professions. They were: dr. Eunice, a psychiatrist; Mr. Anton a HRD manager; Mr Abdullah, a commissioning manager/lead engineer for an oil and gas company; Ms. Feli, a radio announcer/MC. The students and teachers who attended the event were enthusiastic even though the event was held online.
