Sex Education Seminar “Let’s Take Care Ourselves!”

“Let’s Take Care Ourselves!” is the theme of Sex Education Seminar on June 13th 2022, which was held virtually through Google meet of Harapan Bangsa Junior & Senior High School Modernhill. This health seminar was attended by all 178 students and all teachers. There were three speakers in this seminar: Dr. Wilda Rina Siregar as Functional Doctor of Puskesmas Pondok Cabe Ilir South Tangerang City, Ms. Rosa Virginia Kartikarini, M.Psi and Mr. Ariyanto Yanwar, M.Psi as Psychologist from Psylution.

The purpose of this seminar is to provide knowledge to students about the health of reproductive system among adolescents and also sexuality. Moreover, it is to understand the importance of protecting themselves from sexually transmitted diseases so that students are encouraged to plan a better future.

Another objective of the seminar is that students know and understand the dangers that can occur when they are trying to have premarital sex. Students also gain more knowledge about psychological and physical health and they are encouraged to seek information from trusted sources. Other than that, they are supported to share information obtained to others: friends, family, or society. The students said that they were very happy when given the opportunity to share the knowledge they get to the people closest to them.
