Junior and Senior High School Orientation, SHB Modernhill 2022 – 2023

MPLS (Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah) is the School Environment Introduction Period, also known as the Student Orientation Period or New Student Orientation Period, is an activity that is commonly carried out in schools at the beginning of the school year to welcome the arrival of new students. Orientation is common at the junior and senior high school levels.

This year the MPLS was conducted face-to-face since the last time the children did it online at their respective homes. This MPLS activity aims to recognize the potential of new students and help them adapt to the school environment and its surroundings. It is also expected to foster motivation, enthusiasm, and positive interaction among students. MPLS could encourage and develop effective learning methods, positive interactions between students, and positive behavior including honesty, independence, mutual respect, discipline, and clean and healthy living.

MPLS was held for 3 days starting from Monday 18 July 2022 to Wednesday, 20 July 2022. Starting with the opening on the basketball court and led by the high school principal Mrs. Melany and the junior high school principal, Mrs. Sisilia, Juni A. During this MPLS activity, children received explanations about discipline at school, extracurricular activities, and curriculum. In addition, the student council committee also provides games that aim to create intimacy between students.

A new school year with new friends, new teachers, new passion, and a new story! From this 3-day MPLS series, students get a good impression as part of the SHB family, a place where they will always be encouraged to develop and give their best in this academic year.
