On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Modernhill held a seminar on mental health with the theme “Manage Your Mental Health for a Better Life.” This seminar featured professional speaker Ms. Nindya Putri Aprodita S.Psi., M.Psi., Psychologist. In her presentation, the speaker addressed several important topics, especially understanding the definition of mental health.
Mental health is an integral part of our overall well-being. Just as our bodies require care and maintenance, so too does our mental health. In today's fast-paced and often demanding life, it is important to prioritize mental health so that we can achieve our full potential and lead a satisfying life.
Understanding the signs of good mental health is the first step in managing our mental health. This can mean having a general feeling of peace and happiness, the ability to overcome challenges and stress, and having healthy relationships with ourselves and others. Knowing the signs of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, or eating disorders is also important so that we can seek help if needed.
There are many practices that can help us manage our mental health on a daily basis, such as exercise, maintaining a healthy body, getting enough rest, practicing mindfulness or meditation, and paying attention to our emotional needs.
