Learning activities for all Harapan Bangsa School units will be conducted online from Monday to Thursday, September 1-4, 2025. This is a step taken by Harapan Bangsa School to anticipate widespread demonstrations in several areas, especially in Greater Jakarta and the surrounding areas, which are feared to disrupt the smooth running of student learning activities at the school. Learning activities are conducted online to ensure student safety and they can continue to study safely from home.
The Principal, in collaboration with the teachers, provided information about the implementation of online learning activities to parents and requested their assistance and cooperation in preparing the necessary devices for their children to use during this online learning. Teachers were also instructed to prepare appropriate and engaging learning materials tailored to the needs of the children in each class. This preparation included the development of modules, interactive presentations, and various learning media that could support the online learning process.
During the online learning activities, teachers introduced and provided a brief explanation of the technical aspects of virtual class implementation. They explained the requirements for participating in online learning sessions in each class, including the online class schedule, the Google Meet link accessible for joining the sessions, and the Google Classroom for viewing and understanding learning materials and assignments given during the online learning activities.
For students in grades 1-3, online learning is a new experience for them and requires extra guidance from teachers to adjust to the very different online learning system from face-to-face learning. Meanwhile, students in grades 4-6 already have experience with online learning during the COVID-19 Pandemic, so they are quite familiar with online learning using the Google Meet and Google Classroom platforms.
