On January 15, 2025, the students of Harapan Bangsa Primary School Modernhill participated in a Field Trip to Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Jakarta. This program was attended by all students from grades 1 to 6. The attractions visited during the trip included the Cable Car (Gondola) and Sky World.
The Field Trip to Taman Mini Indonesia Indah was conducted in two large groups: one group consisting of students from grades 1 to 3 and another group consisting of students from grades 4 to 6. The grade 1-3 students first visited the Cable Car (Gondola) attraction, while the grade 4-6 students explored Sky World. Afterward, the groups switched places, with grades 1-3 visiting Sky World and grades 4-6 experiencing the Cable Car (Gondola). Each group followed a pre-arranged schedule and participated in the planned activities accordingly.
At the Gondola, students got the opportunity to observe various traditional houses from several provinces in Indonesia. From the Gondola, they could also see a replica of Indonesia’s archipelago, including Sumatra, Java, Sulawesi, and Papua, while enjoying the beautiful aerial view. Initially, some students, particularly those in grades 1 and 2, felt apprehensive about riding the Gondola due to its height. However, after experiencing the ride under the supervision of their teachers, they eventually became more comfortable and enjoyed it. A lot of them were so excited that they wanted to ride the Gondola again.
At the Sky World attraction, all students were guided through various sections, accompanied by their respective teachers. During their visit, they received some explanations from a guide provided by Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), who shared scientific knowledge about the solar system, outer space, and technological advancements in the field of astronomy. The students were introduced to different constellations, planets, and various celestial phenomena. This experience captivated their interest, as they were not only entertained but also obtained some new knowledge about space and the universe. The field trip left a lasting impression on the students and expanded their understanding of science and astronomy.
