The Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam and this worship is carried out on the holy land. This pilgrimage is carried out for those who can afford it, especially those who can afford it in terms of health because if their health is compromised then they are not permitted to go on the Hajj because the journey is quite far and long.
To help children introduce the fifth Pillar of Islam regarding the Hajj, on Thursday, September 17 2026 the Harapan Bangsa Modernhill School held the “Haji Manasik” event which was attended by all Muslim Kindergarten students at the Harapan Bangsa School.
In the procession of the Hajj rituals, the students listened to explanations and direct practice on how to perform wukuf on Arafah, throwing Jumroh, Tawaf 7 times by circling the Kaaba, Sa'i (jogging) 7 times between the hills of Shafa and Marwah, Tahalul (cutting hair) and finally drinking Zamzam water. The children were very enthusiastic about participating in the event. By holding this Hajj ritual event, students can fulfill Allah's commands or the obligations of the fifth Pillar of Islam, increasing their faith and devotion to Allah SWT. And in fulfilling this goal, they carry out the same actions, wear the same clothes, carry out the same orderly manners, are highly disciplined, respect each other, are patient, sincere and have noble morals. With this picture, students can practice it in everyday life.
