On Wednesday, September 30, SHB Hall 5 was filled with joy and laughter as the children celebrated the Mooncake Festival. The lively event provided a memorable opportunity for students to learn and have fun together.
The celebration began with a cheerful group photo session to capture these special moments of togetherness. The stage then came alive with wonderful performances by the kindergarten students. With great confidence, they performed the famous Chinese legend of Hou Yi, a story closely associated with the Mooncake Festival. Their performances became even more delightful as they sang cheerful Mandarin children's songs, including “Ba Luo Bo” (Pulling Out the Radish) and “Xiao Bai Tu” (Little White Rabbit). The energetic Kung Fu performance by the students also added excitement and made the celebration even more lively.
The fun did not end on stage. After the performances, the children participated in a variety of creative activities specially prepared around the Mooncake Festival theme. Through these performances and activities, the children not only enjoyed themselves but also learned about the stories and deeper meanings behind this traditional celebration. Their creative works also reflected the beautiful values of togetherness and unity celebrated during the Mooncake Festival.
To conclude the event, the children's faces lit up with happiness as they received delicious mooncakes. They went home with big smiles, proudly carrying their creative artwork and taking home wonderful memories of the Mooncake Festival celebration.
